Hey everyone. I'm really excited to me we're gonna chat about financial freedom a proven path to all the money you will ever need which is available worldwide now I put my heart and soul into this book and I've invited Cody Berman from fly to find who's going to be joinign me on the 40 plus city date
I kind of want to just talk about money philosophy and I guess what inspired you to write what inspired you write this book and where your mind was at and where you hope that people will get to after reading financial freedom so I was in a very different place when I started my financial independence journey at 24 than I was at the age of 31 when I sat down to start writing this book and looking back I realized that I've done more right than I had done wrong but obviously I'd learned a ton through the entire jouney and in fact pretty much my life philosophy changed during the process at 24 I was so stressed out I had no money I was living back home with my parents I really I just wanted to escape you know I wanted to get out and I wanted to have freedom I wanted to be able to whatever I wanted with my life I wanted more money wanted more life and so really for fivw years and three months to five years and three months that took me to get there I was that's all I was focused on you know I ended up making a lot of sacrifices that in hindsight I probably wouldn't have made but now looking back it's cool because I can relive the journey and more importantly help others along the way to not make the same mistakes that I did and actually to do it more efficiently than I did because when I started I didn't know any other financial independence bloggers there were very few blogs out there I didn't discover another five blogger til two and a half years into my journey so Iwas flying alone and learning as I went which actually was awesome and fun but once I found some others it really fast-tracked my process looking bask and really the core focus of the book is you live in a world that sells a level of financial precision and tries to sell a level of financial precision that to me is an entire is entirely unrealistic you know you have the finance industry saying you know you need five million dollars to retire or you need all this amount of money without knowing who you specifically are and to me the most important question actually isn't how much money do I need that's an important question but the first question you should be asking is what kind of life do I want to live and that should drive how much money you need and I think that in our culture it often is the other way around it's okay here's how much money I make and then you try to live a certain life and you often end up overextending (3:39)
